How to
become a Firefighter/Paramedic


San
Ramon Valley Fire Minimum Qualifications
(at
time of employment):
-
Minimum 18 years of age at time of employment
-
Must be a citizen of the United States
-
High School diploma or equivalent
-
Must possess current EMT-Paramedic licensure (National Registry
acceptable) and California EMT-Paramedic licensure to participate in
agency specific oral appraisal examination process
-
Valid California Class "C" license or equivalent upon appointment
-
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Cardiopulmonary
Resuscitation cards
-
California State Firefighter-1 or successful graduation from a
California "approved" Firefighter-1 academy to participate in agency
specific oral appraisal examination process (IFSAC and out of state
certificates will not be accepted)
