Autopulse CPR
device arrives

All of our frontline Fire District ambulances carry an
Autopulse.

Special thanks to the San Ramon/Dublin Women's club for donating
one Autopulse.

Getting
adequate blood flow to the brain and heart—fast—are
important goals of CPR. Unfortunately, manual CPR suffers
from significant limitations. The AutoPulse produces better
blood flow (perfusion) than manual CPR. The AutoPulse automatically
pumps the patient’s chest in order to circulate blood to the
heart and brain.
To deploy the AutoPulse, the rescuer simply aligns the
patient on the AutoPulse Platform and closes the LifeBand™
chest band over the patient’s chest and presses start; the
AutoPulse system does the rest, automatically. The rescuer
is relieved of the task of performing chest
compressions and can focus on ventilation and other
necessary interventions. The compact, portable AutoPulse
system provides a more efficient way to generate chest
compressions on scene and during transport, offering a
breakthrough in the process of resuscitation.
The AutoPulse Resuscitation System consists of the portable
AutoPulse Platform, a single-patient-use LifeBand™ chest
band and a rechargeable battery pack with a state-of-the-art
recharger. |
