The Board of Directors consists of five locally elected officials. Any resident of the District can run for a Board seat. Elections are held every two years on the even years. One election is for two seats and the next for three seats. The next Board election will be held in November 2008.

Board of Directors meetings are typically held on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Any change to this schedule is published here; Board Meeting Schedule.

Interested persons are invited to attend and participate. You are allowed to address the Board on any agenda item at the time of its discussion. You can also bring up items not included on the agenda, during the "Public Comment" portion of the meeting. No action can be taken by Board members on these items at that meeting. If lengthy discussion or action is necessary, the item may be placed on a future agenda. This comment is provided by the Brown Act Open Meeting Law (Gov. Code 54950 et seq.)

Board meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Room at the District headquarters, located at 1500 Bollinger Canyon Road, San Ramon, CA 94583.
