San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District
Public Education Division

Public education is the responsibility of all District
personnel. However, there are two Specialists within the Fire
Prevention Division who dedicate the majority of their time to
educating the public. Every year, they provide thousands of
children with Fire Prevention education, including how to
prevent fires, what to do in the event of a fire, and how to
prepare for the possibility of a fire. They also provide
community organizations, citizen groups, and businesses with
safety-related training such as fire extinguisher training,
business safety and emergency preparedness training, and
first-aid overviews. The Specialists, in addition to other Fire
Prevention personnel, also attend safety events, distributing
literature and answering questions.

The District
conducts a basic infant, child, and adult CPR class every 4th
Saturday of the month from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm at the San Ramon
Valley Fire Administration Building located at 1500 Bollinger
Canyon Road in San Ramon. The cost is $25. This class is not a
Healthcare Provider class. Early sign-up is recommended as
there are only 8 students to a class, and the classes fill
quickly. To sign up for a CPR class, contact Renee Vetter at
